Tublu…we used to call Rahul by this name only…his father used to call him by Pancham…he has passed away…firstly,I brought him up with great care like his elder brother…the person was very simple…I can clearly recall his childhood days…he learned tabla and singing from me for a period of ten years…he got a big inheritance of music from his father as well as from this land of Bengal..hence he could capture all the sur, taal and loy very quickly…then he went to Bombay…he immediately let me hear the tunes after composing songs for Chhote Nawaab..on that very day I told him,”Tublu, you’ll become a great music director”…the trickiness of his compositions used to make me enchanted…please think once the song “Chingari koi bharke”…what an effortless use of Bengali folk song…again he  captured the Western Musics also…all as combined,he introduced a completely new concept of music…Karta told me to teach him music but he came to this world with all the musics with him…Karta has passed away…Tublu has also passed away…I’m feeling too lonely now…just a few days ago,he came to a friend’s house in Garcha Road..sent me a message…I went there and found he had gone out in search of musical hands…after waiting for some time,he came back and on seeing me he bowed to me and told,”Dada, please don’t mind”….at that time he was so much reknowned personality still having a broad mind…afterwards,he also learned sarod from Ali Akbar Khan…Karta,me and Rahul went to so many cultural functions…of course at that time we used to sing or play and he used to listen only…that small Tublu is no more…it’s not at all possible for me to think about it…                                                    (End)
